Millie Pochet Teams up with Art Center Miami

Millie Pochet teams up with Art Center Miami
Art is an enrichment and empowerment tool for increased self-esteem and self-efficacy. When art becomes a healing tool through expressivity and motivation, there are no limits for creation.
Millie Pochet is teaming up with Art Center Miami as an artist’s liaison for their gallery in Wynwood. She joined the art center this summer 2014, bringing strength to the art educational section.
This American talented woman born in Puerto Rico was attracted to the artistic world since her childhood. Millie Pochet studied art in the US and has practiced it as a hobby for many years.
Her instinct for helping others lead her to a career in nursing. This was a perfect combination that let her create art while healing others. Millie’s Spanish savvy also earned her a spot on a medical mission team that traveled to remote areas in Peru in 2009.
Millie’s art pieces have a combination of bright Latin Color with strong healing messages. She developed a series of magnificent inspirational art pieces that have been successfully exhibited in galleries in Miami.
“Anything someone can do to serve a community outside their comfort zone is beyond enriching and gives you greater perspective,” said Millie. Art Center Miami is proud to announce Millie’s knowledgeable participation in the team. This center offers special need classes and support emerging artists with and without disability.
Starting July 2014, this art gallery located in the main art district in Miami, will offer a series of exhibits including art as a healing tool. From special need artists’ exhibitions to Cancer survivor awareness shows will take place at Art Center Wynwood this fall 2014.
