October Photography Show at Wynwood

Last Friday October 3 Art Center Wynwood opened its doors to their new photography exhibition. With a variety of themes and one big effort on supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness, artists displayed their photos at this gallery space located in the art district of Wynwood.

The Wynwood Art District is the main art district in the neighborhood of Miami, Florida, United States. It is home to over 70 galleries, museums and collections. The Wynwood Association was founded in early 2003 by a group of art dealers, artists and curators.

In order to support the artistic community the association created The Second Saturday's Gallery Walk, this day all galleries open their doors to the general public with evening events and special art exhibits. Wynwood is home to over seventy galleries, five museums, three collections, seven art complexes, twelve art studios and five art fairs.

The exhibiting artists in this interesting Photography show are Ariana Cutler, Eduardo Rubin, Leo Di Tomaso, Marcel Del Castillo, Scott Weingarten, Sue Randall, Susan Link, Tracy Ellyn  & Valerie Halper. Each artists with a distinctive style displayed a sample of pieces with their excellent work. The exhibition will be on until November 1 2014 and it is open to the public without any admission charge. This space is located on 149 NW 36 St, Miami FL 33127.

There is a special section of the exhibition with an incredible photography project with Breast Cancer Survivors. The project was presented by the photographer Mr. Michael D. Colanero with the collaboration of make-up artists who worked with each survivor model on incredible body paint designs. This is a unique photography exhibit that no one should miss… check it out and support this benefit cause for the month of October.
