Latin American talents at Art Expo New York 2017

"Arte Latino" shines at Art Expo New York this 2017

The next 21st of April 2017,starts the Artexpo New York Fair. South Florida Art Gallery from Miami brings to the big apple a very talented group of Latin artists that will be shining at Pier 94 in new York City, USA. 

For 39 years and counting, Artexpo New York has been changing the way people buy and sell art. This annual show brings the biggest industry buyers and collectors face to face with more than 1,000 established and emerging artists, galleries, and art publishers. In short, this is the world’s largest fine art marketplace. And for the 30,000+ attendees who line up for the show every year? It’s a chance to see the newest, brightest faces of the art world, and to purchase works from exhibitors in person. 

The mentioned Latin artists represented by South Florida Art Gallery this spring in New York are as it follows: MARTIN SCHOFFEL, TERESA CABELLO, EDUARDO SANABRIA, CARLOS TIRADO, ROBERTO WEIL, FREDDY TRUJILLO, FRANCISCO PEREIRA, MILAGROS DE ARMAS, LUIS GARCIA. This art fair "New York Artexpo" will take place from April 21st to April 24th 2017 in the City of New York, in U.S at Pier 94.

Carlos J. Tirado (born on 1964 in Caracas, Venezuela) is an artist, painter and sculptor who has developed a very personal and precise line of work linked to Neo-Pop art. With plenty of personal art exhibitions, Tirado has participated in numerous collective exhibitions, receiving different awards such as “III Premio de Escultura” del Museo Aires de Córdoba in Spain 2004 and other important recognition. Among the awards are at the Venezuelan Embassy in DC (2005), and the X Latin Art Festival of Atlanta (2005), Art of the year, 2012 Le Concierge Magazine Caracas,Venezuela.
Eduardo Sanabria, a.k.a. EDO, was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1970. His work have been not only exhibited in many galleries and art fairs all over the world, but published in Caracas’ major newspapers, “Venezuela Business News”, in Washington and New York, as well as “Diario Las Américas” in Miami. He attended illustration courses, graphic design workshops and comics conventions in Panama, Mexico, Argentina, Spain and the United States (Miami, New York, Phoenix, San Diego and Las Vegas).
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1959. Architect graduated in the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Through bronze sculptures the artist represent different states of the soul and subconscious. A bestiary were each biped conveys its own emotional meanings and to which the artist grants a symbolic value (fear, rage, love, doubt) mixed with deep psychic and mythological fantasies of the old western culture, in time based on greek-Latin an Mediterranean belief that are rooted in outrageous pagan ancestral rites. 

Born in Venezuela, Freddy Trujillo began to play with his first canvases when one day he was astonished by a piece of art, it was a decisive moment for Freddy; he later returned home and grabbed paint brushes, a canvas, an art stand and oil paint. A passion was born; he began to study the light, color, volume, and the human figure.  Freddy begins to be more figurative with his paintings which began to decorate the halls of his family’s home and friends. 

Born in Venezuela, San Cristobal, Tachira. Civil Engineer with an MBA from University of Miami.Since 1992 started developing his artistic abilities in wood carving. After working with Miguel Ginzo , Garcia Contreras decided to get involved in the bronze world. For two years worked with Gerardo Fernandez, and since 2007 created his pieces at the shop of renowned artist Elias Toro.

Martin is a Venezuelan-Austrian who has dedicates his life to create kinetic art pieces, Geometric and OP Art. Martin Schoffel was born in Caracas Venezuela (1985). Passionate with the Venezuelan Art, in his early years, his love for art started with freehand geometric drawings and then after several years, his art turned to geometric and kinetic art. At a very young age he was amazed by all the Kinetic Art Culture that his country provided to the World. Martin has showcased his kinetic art pieces in the United States as well as in Venezuela
Milagros de Armas has dedicated all her life to the world of Art. At a very early age, she experimented with modeling and sculpting with diverse types of materials.Her innate ability to artistically express her insights, allowed her to develop an extraordinary technique of hyperrealism which is admired by art lovers and collectors around the world. Primarily self-taught, Milagros de Armas has studied in recognized schools of art in her native country of Venezuela, such as “Candido Millán Arte y Fuego”.
Roberto is a Venezuelan caricaturist & painter. Representing political caricatures from Venezuela for more than 16 years, his artworks have been published by many Venezuelan newspaper. Along with his political representation, he creates unique portraits made through sketches, added and subtracted repeatedly until the essence of the person is achieved. He has published 4 books and is currently working on a graphic novel with Amherst College professor, Ilan Stavans. Throughout his career, he has received prestigious national awards and more recently, "The cartoonist of the year award" granted by the Inter American Press Association (IAPA).

Teresa is a talented artist born in Caracas Venezuela on 1959. Teresa is a Sculptor, Painter and Ceramist.  She graduated in Art at I.U Armando Reveron in Caracas.  Teresa has participated in several Collective and Solo Show Exhibitions, and also Art Fairs such as Beijing Art Expo, Shanghai Art Fair in China and FIA Caracas. Intrigued about marine landscapes and the behavior of the human being when in masses, Teresa represents a series of sculptures in clay & resin named "Swimmers".
